This Privacy Policy explains how the Tekvwa Analysis Platform ("the Platform", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our statistical analysis service. The Platform is globally available with no geographic restrictions and serves users worldwide.
While the Platform is registered and operated from Canada, it is designed for international use. This policy is designed to comply with Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and provides a strong baseline of privacy protection for all users regardless of location.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of any data you process through our Platform.

Important: We do not require or request personally identifiable information (PII). If your datasets contain PII, you are responsible for ensuring appropriate handling in compliance with PIPEDA.
3.2 Session Information
During your use of the Platform, we temporarily store:
- Uploaded file contents (in session memory)
- Analysis parameters and configurations
- Generated results and visualizations
- Session identifiers
3.3 Technical Information
The Platform may automatically collect:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Access timestamps
- Error logs for debugging
4. How We Use Information
4.1 Primary Uses
Your data is used solely for:
- Performing statistical analyses you request
- Generating visualizations and charts
- Creating AI-powered reports (if you use this feature)
- Providing analysis results and exports
4.2 AI Report Generation
When you use AI-powered report generation:
- Analysis results and summary statistics are sent to OpenAI's API
- OpenAI processes this data to generate insights and recommendations
- This is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy and data handling practices
- OpenAI's servers may be located outside of Canada (United States)
4.3 What We Do NOT Do
We do NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising
- Share your data with other users
- Train machine learning models on your data
- Store your data beyond your session (unless you save to database)
- Access your data for any purpose other than providing the Service
5. Cross-Border Data Transfers and International Users
5.1 Global Availability
Tekvwa Analysis is a globally available service. Users from any country may access and use the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to data processing in accordance with this policy and Canadian privacy standards.
5.2 International Users
If you are accessing the Platform from outside Canada:
- Your data may be processed in Canada where our servers are located
- Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) applies to how we handle your data
- You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your local laws
- We do not restrict access based on geographic location
5.3 Cross-Border Transfers
In accordance with data protection requirements:
- If you use AI report generation, your analysis results may be transferred to OpenAI servers in the United States
- We ensure comparable levels of protection for data transferred outside Canada
- You can choose not to use AI features to keep all data within Canada (for self-hosted instances)
6. Data Storage and Retention
6.1 Session-Based Storage
By default, your data is stored only in session memory:
- Data exists only while your session is active
- Data is cleared when you end your session
- Data is cleared when the server restarts
- Sessions typically timeout after inactivity
6.2 Database Storage (Optional)
If you choose to save datasets to the database:
- Data is stored securely in PostgreSQL database
- You can delete saved datasets at any time
- Database is stored on the server hosting the Platform
7. Data Security
7.1 Security Measures
We implement security measures including:
- Session-based access control
- Secure file handling practices
- Input validation and sanitization
- Protected configuration files
7.2 Breach Notification
In the event of a security breach involving personal information, we will:
- Notify affected individuals as required by Canadian law
- Report to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if required
- Maintain records of breaches as required by PIPEDA

9.1 OpenAI API
The AI report generation feature uses OpenAI's GPT-4 API:
- Data Sent: Analysis results, statistical summaries, chart descriptions
- Data NOT Sent: Raw uploaded data files
- OpenAI Privacy: Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy
- Optional Feature: You can use the Platform without AI features
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 in accordance with Canadian privacy standards.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy:
- Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date
- Significant changes may be announced in release notes
- Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes
